I did a mini-comic for my Comic Books and Graphic Novels course. It's called "Shadows". Although this doesn't really show my abilities (I did everything in an hour), I still got an OK score on it.

Updating my Digital Art Skill

My husband showed me a tutorial on coloring images, and I decided to try it out since I’m trying to transition from traditional media to digital media.
I sketched out a random picture of myself on a crummy piece of notebook paper (see edges). Then I used a sepia-colored School-G Tachikawa pen to outline it.
Cleaned up the pencil marks with a plastic eraser.
Went over the outline with the same pen and darkened some areas.
Put the file into Adobe Illustrator, traced it, and colored it with base colors.
Took the image to Adobe Photoshop, made a transparent layer, used the “Lasso” to pick the highlights, and brushed and smu

I haven't been on Deviant Art in some time. It's cool, though. I can't say I'm back, but I'm around at least.
This summer, I went to Japan and came back a new person. If you want to read about my adventures, just go to http://jadesescape.blogspot.com to read how Japan was. It's not completely up the time I was out there, but I have most of it up.
I'm now 23 years old, and I will be graduating from college soon. I have improved my skill in drawing, more specifically, in quick sketching with pen. I remember when I used to hate sketching in pen... I'm so different now.
I've also mastered the basic workings of Creative Suite. I'm really happy
